Penguin here.

I am sad to say that four year old Knut the polar bear, of whom were great fans here at ACAD, passed away yesterday. In his memory, I want to share an adorable picture of him, which you might have seen already.

We'll miss you, Knut

On a happier note, because we always have to end on happy notes here at ACAD, I have found an absolutely adorable picture of leopard cubs that I wanted to share with you. These guys look adorably sleepy and too cute to resist! Don’t you just want to give their tiny pink noses a kiss?

Blue Bear has the flu which is why he hasn’t been able to make a post lately. This week has been pretty crazy with my lack of internet and his lack of energy! Anyway, we of course try to overcome such obstacles to make sure that everyone has their daily fill of cuteness. For today’s dose of “cute”, we have an adorable, playful polar bear cub. It looks like he’s having quite a bit of fun gnawing on his paw. Doesn’t he look so fuzzy? Don’t you just want to tickle his tummy? I certainly do, though I’m sure it wouldn’t be the wisest idea…

I’m sorry that I haven’t made a post in the last 2 days, but my internet stopped working! Today, it works, thankfully, and I decided of course to contribute a cute picture to your day (and mine).
I know that weasels are often portrayed as the antagonist (bad guy) in fables. That doesn’t prevent me from finding them to be absolutely adorable. Look at this little guy. Doesn’t he look so soft and cute? I’d love to give him a treat to eat.

I love it when I find pictures like this! In this one, it’s a baby giraffe and his mommy nuzzing and being very friendly with eachother. Mother animals are always so kind to their babies in photos, and it always feels so sweet to see. I think we identify with the feeling a mother feels for her child, or the feeling a child gets being loved by their mother, and so we see it as being extremely sweet as well as extremely adorable!

I was playing Pokemon again the other day and ran into a Pokemon called Drillbur. He was a little mole, and he was extremely cute. Here’s a picture of him:

Anyway, I thought of real moles when I saw him, and decided to check them out. Moles are definitely goofy looking, but they’re also very cute. Their eyes are quite difficult to find, unlike Drillbur’s, but the Pokemon artists definitely got the claws right! They look quite sharp, but they’re obviously used for cute things like digging little holes! Anyway, here’s a cute little mole:

You may be surprised to learn that this is the first picture of a cow we’ve uploaded. That’s right, we haven’t yet posted a picture of one single cow. And I love cows! Anyway, I hope you like my selection for our very first cow picture. How sweet is this little ensemble right here? Doesn’t it look like the mother cow and her calf love each other so much? There is so much warmth and affection in this picture. It’s super cute and sweet at the same time.

In order to commemorate the March 1st release of the Bambi blu-ray, I decided to post a picture of an adorable baby fawn (ie: a baby deer). Look how cute and cuddly he is, hiding in the grass like that. Don’t you just want to give him a warm blanket and something to eat? All we need is a real-life Thumper and Flower and we’d have a scene straight out of Bambi!

So, I was playing Pokemon Black again and one of the Gym leaders used a Pokemon called Emolga against me. This Pokemon was a flying squirrel, and he was extremely cute. But there’s something even cuter than an in-game flying squirrel, and that’s a REAL flying squirrel. I decided to look and see what a baby flying squirrel looked like, and the results are adorable, take a look!

You have got to watch this adorable baby porcupine video I found on youtube. I won’t give too much away, but as the title of the video says, this porcupine not only adorably eats a banana, he also has the hiccups! Enjoy this special treat to help you celebrate another TGIF the “cute animal” way.

It has been snowing here lately, a lot. For this reason, I decided to post a picture of an animal well associated with the snow: a snowshoe hare! This little fella is not only plump and adorable, but there is a kind of serenity, a peacefulness about him, as he sits there surrounded by a beautiful wintry scene. Here’s a little neat thing to learn about snowshoe hares: I found out that their fur coat turns brown in the Summer time. Isn’t that neat? If you click on the link below from National Geographic, you will learn that and much more about them.
