Penguin here.

Yesterday, Skunk the dog was so kind as to let us snap a photo of her in her witch hat. Isn’t she a sweetie? Granted, we had about 2 seconds flat to take one, but it all worked out in the end. I dressed up as a witch for many years in a row on Hallowe’en, but I can guarantee that I never looked half so cute as Skunk does here. We love you Skunk!

Okay, so I BETTER be getting a doggy biscuit after this.

A special thanks to Blue Bear’s sister for helping us take this adorable picture.

In honour of Hallowe’en which is quickly approaching, we will be posting some pictures of animals in costume over the next few days.

What do you say, isn’t this the least intimidating Count Dracula ever? It certainly is the cutest I’ve ever seen. This little hedgehog just made my day! Kudos to the person who designed such a great costume.

Penguin here with my mom.

My mom and were surfing the net for some cute animal pictures when we stumbled upon this one and figured we should share it with you guys. Isn’t is so adorable? I wish I could have been there to see these raccoons. I have no idea what the parent raccoon is trying to do, but he/she certainly looks goofy doing it. Meanwhile, the two younger raccoons look all safe and snuggled up as they peek out of the hole in the tree.

This fox pup is so cute; I’d be willing to say too cute, actually. Just look at that sweet face, those ears, that fuzz, and how he eats his food in a charmingly messy way. I want this fox so badly, how about you guys?

Look at this friendly guy. It’s easy to see why people would call this sweetheart a honey bear!

Kinkajous belong to the Procyonidae family, and are therefore related to raccoons and coatis. According to Wikipedia’s kinkajou article, the kinkajou is a nocturnal mammal living in Central and South American rainforests. They have two coats: a golden outer coat, covering a grey one underneath. A full-grown kinkajou will reach weigh anywhere between 3 to 10 lbs.

This morning, while walking to work, I saw a black squirrel! I’d seen this little guy before. He lives on a particular block in my neighborhood and can often be seen in that area. You often see grey squirrels where I’m from, but black ones are significantly less common. I didn’t have my camera with me to take a picture of the guy I saw, but I found an excellent, adorable picture on google to share with you guys. Apparently black squirrels are the same species as normal “eastern grey squirrels”, and this kind of coloration happens to be more common in urban areas. Neat! Check it out!

Okay, I think I just fell in love. Again. That’s right, again. Did you ever hear of a chevrotain? According to Wikipedia’s article, there are 10 current species of chevrotain; they live in South and Southeast Asia, but one species can also be found in Central and West Africa. The Asian species weighs between 0.7 and 8 kg (that’s 1.5 and 18 lbs). Meanwhile, the African species is larger, tipping the scale at 7 to 16 kg (ie: 15 to 35 lbs). You should definitely read more about these cuties in that article.

Don’t you want to kiss that tiny little nose? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

You may remember Kizmet from our posts here and here. If not, I suggest you check them out, because he’s super adorable and well, do you really need an excuse to check out pictures of a goofy brown dachshund? Didn’t think so.
A special thanks to my sister for taking and sharing this adorable picture with us. You seriously can’t get enough of this doggy.
