I grew up enjoying the muppets (and Sesame Street). My favourite character was Gonzo, followed by a close runner-up, Kermit the frog! I think Kermit the frog (just like his real-life counterpart) is really adorable.

We love you Kermit!

Now, here’s a goofy green frog:

Now it seems obvious why these guys are called tomato frogs: their orangey-red tomato colour. I must say though, this guy looks so convincing as a tomato that I’m sure you might mistake him for one if you saw him from just the right angle, especially if there were some green leaves around. I don’t think I ever saw an animal that looked like a tomato before stumbling upon this frog. Isn’t he a cutie?

Penguin here.

When Blue Bear and I make our annual trip to our local biodome, we always make sure to stop by a display of poison dart frogs. We play a little game of “Where’s Waldo” together trying to see how many we can find. Poison dart frogs come in a variety of striking colors and although these colors may stand out against the plain green leaves in the display, they’re still really tough to spot. This is largely due to their small size.
Although poison dart frogs have poison in their name, and indeed do secrete poison through their skin, they’re still really cute. I chose to post a picture of this frog because I think his color pattern is beautiful and I love the adorable pose he’s in.

This little guy will be the first frog posted on our website. Isn’t he a cutie? This frog is a red-eyed tree frog and you can read about him and his special red eyes here at Ya’axché Conservation Trust. Apparently red-eyed tree frogs are rarely larger than 3 inches (7.62cm) in length. Isn’t that so teeny?
