This certainly looks like an adorable (and romantic moment) caught on camera. As we’ve mentioned in an earlier prairie dog post, prairie dogs don’t actually kiss, but put their teeth together as a method of recognizing each other. How cute is that?

How adorable are these two little prairie dogs peeking out of their den? Imagine standing near that hole, and then suddenly being welcomed by these two little cuties! I wish we had prairie dogs around here…

Talk about romance! Valentine’s day is not even hear yet, and these prairie dogs are already smooching! I’m just joking though. Prairie dogs don’t technically kiss, they simply put their teeth together to recognize each other. How cute is that? Anyway, no matter their reasons for “kissing”, these prairie dogs look absolutely adorable doing it.
