Penguin here.

Things have been so busy around here lately that I must say that I feel quite a bit like this baby panda bear who is so adorably stretching. Did you know that the giant panda produces the smallest baby proportional to its adult size than any other placental mammal? Baby pandas weigh in at about 90 to 130 grams. Full grown pandas weigh in at 100 to 115 kg. You can read this and other interesting tidbits about the panda here on Wikipedia’s Giant panda article.

Oh my goodness. This little fuzzy red panda cub is so cute, I can’t help but wish I could cuddle right next to him!

According to Wikipedia’s Red Panda article, red pandas are born with their eyes closed and they only begin to open after about 18 days. After about 90 days, they will have fully grown their characteristic red colouring.

Penguin here.

I am sorry if I am being repetitive, but I stumbled upon another gif of a kitten today, and I find it so cute, that I can’t help but post it here on ACAD. This kitten is so tiny and is in one of the cutest beds I have ever seen. I want them both: the little kitten and the bed he is cuddled in!

Red pandas are omnivores, although they mostly eat bamboo. They are native to the eastern Himalyas and southwestern China and are not related to pandas as their name would suggest. You could read all this and more about these fascinating animals on Wikipedia’s Red Panda article.
