Penguin here.

I was on Reddit when I stumbled upon this adorable little gif of a kitten having a nightmare, and a mother cat holding her kitty close to make her feel better. This reminds me of when I used to have nightmares when I was a little girl. I would go to my mother and she would console me until I fell back sound asleep.

I thought that this post was certainly in tune with the Mother’s Day weekend coming up. What an awesome kitty mother, don’t you think?

Isn’t this sand cat family just so adorable? Look at how many kittens there are!

According to Wikipedia’s sand cat article, sand cats live in burrows and can be found in the deserts of North Africa and southwest and central Asia. They happen to be the only cats that dwell primarily in deserts. For more detailed info about these interesting kitties, check out the article.

Aww, doesn’t this sweet picture make you guys want to give someone a big hug? The mother kitty cat is certainly happy and relaxed cuddling up with her kitten. I hope you all take this Thanskgiving opportunity to enjoy some time with the people you love too.

Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at ACAD!

Penguin here.

As promised, today you get to see Missy the kangaroo all grown up with her friend Pudit the cat. Aren’t they so adorable? We love animal friendship here on ACAD, which is why we have a category dedicated to it, but we must say that we have never before encountered kangaroo and cat pals. Isn’t this so sweet?

As my second (and our fourth) post of Animals from Madagascar at A Cute A Day, I’ve got a cute cat-like animal called the Fossa. Apparently these guys are somewhat endangered because they’re pests to livestock and humans don’t like them. That’s a very sad thing to think about and I hope that something will be done to prevent them from extinction. On a lighter note, though, the picture I have for you to show you guys what these Madagascar natives look like is very cute. Can you spot the cub? (He’s not that well hidden, but still may go unnoticed at first!)
